The Advanced Microsatellites Lab engineers developed a launch container for ultra-small femtosat satellites as part of a commercial project

While inside the container until separation, the satellites are provided with power and a command and telemetry interface with the launch vehicle.

Femto-satellites are a category of inexpensive, ultra-small satellites with a mass of less than 100 grams, used for short space missions in low Earth orbit around 250-300 kilometres. When launched in large numbers, they are useful for scientific data collection.
